If 2024 hasn’t been the year you planned, wanted or expected - its okay. For #worldmentalhealthday I want to remind you all that sometimes life isn’t easy or perfect and what you think you know about someone or their life is potentially the smallest fraction of what’s actually going on.
Social media can suck when you scroll and see people loved up, travelling the world, landing a dream job, living in a perfect house, working out every day… and you feel like you’re struggling to put one foot in front of the other some days. So let me tell you - that’s okay. Some days just getting through might be all we have - and that’s more than enough.
This year I lost a job I adored. Started over professionally - twice. Have spent more time, energy (and money 🙊) than I ever thought possible trying to help and support my anxious and reactive rescue dog. I really planned to train for and fight again at the end of this year for @whitecollarboxinglondon - but I genuinely don’t have the time or mental capacity for it right now. It’s been hard to admit that, but it’s true.
All I can try to do give myself grace, and encourage you to do the same. I’m still working on my skills with @stu_k0fitness (who made this amazing Reel 🥰) and I’m beyond grateful that @k0fitness24 and @joefroboxing taught me so very, very well that rolling with the punches - in and out of the ring - is all we can do sometimes 🙏🏼🥊
On World Mental Health Day, and always, please be kind to yourself. You’re doing your best and that’s all that matters 🩷
